Our Founder

Lisa McIntosh, founder of Mission for Life, Inc., brings a steadfast commitment rooted in her belief, faith, vision, and purpose. Having successfully navigated the challenges associated with dialysis and kidney failure, she underwent a life-changing kidney transplant in 1997. Over the past twenty-eight years, Lisa has consistently exemplified resilience, perseverance, and an unwavering dedication to service, contributing positively to the community.

Lisa possesses a Master’s degree in Administration in Human Services from Wilmington University, where she focused on human and social services, leadership, nonprofit management, supervision, coordination, and governance.

Lisa began her work in the nonprofit sector by co-founding Lower Camden County United for Youth & Families and serving as Vice President. In 2002, she established Mission for Life, Inc., centering the organization’s mission on organ and tissue donation, with a strong emphasis on service and charity. Since 2005, Lisa has dedicated her career to strengthening communities through roles in social services, case management, advocacy, program administration, regulatory compliance, and effective service delivery. 

Lisa is committed to her community and strives for lasting change as part of her professional mission. Inspired by the butterfly’s symbolism of transformation and renewal—with God at its core—she sees it as reflecting her own growth and the new beginnings she fosters in others. This theme is central to Mission for Life, Inc., where the butterfly in the logo stands for hope and positive change.
